Proofs:
Proofs are available upon request. This is a small 8.5x11" print that is made prior to the final print and sent to you to approve. If you want to make any changes, we will send you a new proof at no additional cost. This way, you can be sure your print is perfect even without monitor calibration. They are $10, including shipping.
Papers:
The three papers listed below are the papers that we regularly keep in stock. Please read the descriptions to find the one that fits your needs. If you are still unsure, we would be happy to send you a small sample of the paper(s) you are considering. Simply jump over to our contact page and make a request.
Epson Enhanced Matte:
Bright white, smooth, and lightweight. Epson Enhanced Matte is considered something of a work-horse paper. It’s less expensive than the cotton papers, but not as luscious feeling or looking. However, it is perfectly serviceable and, depending on how you are ultimately going to display or sell your images, may be a good way to save money on printing costs.
Hahnemuhle William Turner, 310gsm (PDF):
Natural white, 100% cotton rag paper. It is mould-made, and has a very attractive, yet unassuming, surface texture. It is a warmer paper and really shows off blacks to their advantage. This is a stunning paper; we get many compliments on this paper, from photographers and non-photographers alike. However, the surface is delicate and requires careful handling. We would recommend putting images printed with William Turner behind glass.
Hahnemuhle Photo Rag, 310gsm (PDF):
Bright white, 100% cotton rag paper. It is coated on a single side for a very smooth, satin finish. Slightly cooler than the William Turner, but still warmer than the Enhanced Matte. As with the William Turner paper, this paper beautifully captures the lusciousness of the darks, but doesn't have the subtle texturing that William Turner has.
